completing Dual Enrollment Orientation is an essential first step toward your success as a college student. The orientation is designed to help you learn about college expectations and gain valuable insight into how to be successful at SMC. You will learn about important topics including:
High School-to-College Transition – Academic Support and Policies, Course Registration, Placement Testing, Billing, and Tips for Success
Campus Technology – SMC Wired, Student Email, Student ID, and Moodle
Campus Resources – Dual Enrollment Team, Personal Wellness, Disability Services, Library, Tutoring, Bookstore, Student Activities, Campus Events, and Safety
You will need your student ID number and SMC email address to log in to the online orientation. This information can be found on your SMC admittance letter. If you do not know your ID and email and no longer have the letter, please contact dualenrollment@swmich.edu.contact.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the online orientation, and returning dual-enrolled students are also welcome to join for a refresher.
If you have not yet registered for classes, please contact your guidance counselor and a member of the Dual Enrollment Team immediately. Dual enrollment can be reached at dualenrollment@swmich.edu. Courses are beginning to fill up because of a reduced number of seats in each classroom to facilitate safe social distancing.
