Transportation

Dear Parents,

As you know, our school district is planning for the start of bus transportation in early October or sooner. Transportation is especially difficult for us to determine this year. As in previous years, and in order for us to plan accordingly, we are asking families to submit a new transportation request form.  If you have not filled out a transportation request yet for this school year and will need transportation for the FALL SEMESTER, please visit our school web page and under menu go to Transportation Department and complete the transportation request.  Or click on the following link Transportation.   A transportation request form must be received by September 14, 2020 in order for your student to be included on our list of bus riders.

As a transportation department, we are required to follow our local Health Department's Guidelines and the Governor's plan. We are trying to minimize risk and keep your students safe while on the school bus. This will include:

  • Caregivers taking student temperatures prior to loading students on the bus.
  • Students sanitizing hands each time when entering the bus. (sanitizer provided on bus)
  • Wearing a mask / face covering at all times while on the bus.
  • Assigned seats on the bus. Sibling groups sitting together.
  • As with all bus rules, failure to comply can lead to loss of riding privileges.
  • Eating or drinking on the bus is strictly prohibited!

Due to the recent health requirements in regards to tracing exposure, as a district we need to limit each student’s ridership to one assigned bus. Therefore, we will be limiting the amount of assigned stops to one stop for AM and one for PM for each student. Please keep this in mind as you choose which one stop to designate for your student.  This also means no switching of buses will be allowed and no bus passes to ride a different bus will be issued.

As a district, we will do our best to accommodate the transportation needs of all of our families throughout the school year. Therefore, it is important to keep in mind that if transportation is not requested at this time, we cannot guarantee that it will be granted if requested after in-person classes resume.

Please take into consideration the new information above regarding what school transportation will now look like.

Again, for your student to ride the bus, your transportation request must be received by September 14, 2020.
