On March 3, 2020, the 8th grade band and the Chieftain Concert Band attended the MSBOA District 6 Band and Orchestra Festival at Lake Michigan College.
The small, yet mighty 8th Grade Band of 16 players performed their best and earned a 2(excellent) in sightreading!
The Dowagiac Union High School Chieftain Concert Band earned, for the 2nd year in a row, straight 1's (superior) at festival.
Mr. Oakley said, "I am very proud of the work both bands have done this year"!
