Band Decks Out the Halls
DUHS Concert and Jazz Band, along with the SMC Brass Band combined to wow audiences with their jazzy/classical holiday music ensembles. The music was accompanied by a beautifully designed stage set. Great job to everyone!!!!!!!

Students at DUHS showed their Halloween Spirit with a Pumpkin Painting Contest this week. Special thanks to Ms. Sprague and Mrs. Hackett for organizing this event for the students.

Congratulations to the Chieftain Marching Band for an unheard of 6 point jump, moving them into 5th place at the Hastings Marching Competition this past Saturday. Improvement was made in all 5 areas of Marching, Music, Visual Effect, Percussion and Color Guard. Our drumline was in 2nd place by a mere 2 tenths of a point and our drum majors were in 3rd place by only 3 tenths of a point. Your hard work has certainly paid off! Good Luck at Festival on Tuesday, October 11 in Berrien Springs!
