Attention all 7th and 8th grade DMS girls interested in playing basketball this season. Tryouts will start Monday January 9th from 4-6 pm. FYI-In order to participate, a physical will need to be on file in the office.

Mrs. Leighton's Life Skills Classes
We would like to extend a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Balois F. Jr. for being selected as our November DMS Student of the Month. Balois was selected by staff because of his dedication to school and great attitude! We are so proud!!
DMS families and community members were treated to a grand Winter Concert last Thursday that was put on by DUS Choir Director, Hunter Schuur and our talented High School and Middle School Choir students. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and be a part of it!
Mrs. Cromer's 7th grade English classes wrote Christmas letters to Veterans in local assisted living homes. Letters were sent to the Southwestern Michigan Veterans Support Group for distribution. The group has over 800 Veterans and active soldiers on its list and has participated in this letter writing for twenty-one years. DMS is proud to be a part of such a HEROES program!

DMS Winter Band Concert
Students in Mrs. Winters’s Computers A classes, took part in the worldwide Hour of Code on December 9, as a part of Computer Science Education Week. Millions of students around the globe participate in this free opportunity that is organized by code.org. The Hour of Code is an opportunity for students to be introduced to the basics of computer science through several different tutorials. The students who are pictured are completing the Hello World activity. Other activities completed in class for Computer Science Education Week were Poem Art and Dance Party.

The Dowagiac Union Choirs Winter Concert is next week December 15th
at 7:00pm. DMS students will need to arrive at 5:30pm for rehearsal. This concert is open to all and admission is free!
