Sister Lakes Elementary School is excited to announce that the Van Buren Cass District Health Department will be offering a great opportunity for our students. Beginning Tuesday February 22, 2022, the health department dental hygienist will be at Sister Lakes offering a program to help stop tooth decay. The SEAL Michigan Dental Sealant Program will be coming to place dental sealants on permanent six-year and twelve-year molars at NO COST!!! If your child has dental insurance it will be billed and any amount not covered by your insurance will be covered by this program. Please check with your dental insurance as many plans do not cover the cost of dental sealants. If your child does not have dental insurance there will be NO cost.
Your child received informational paperwork along with the necessary paperwork to be completed. If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity please complete the necessary form and send it back to the school as soon as possible and we will take care of everything from there. If your child did not bring home the paperwork the information will be at the main office or contact our School Nurse, Suzanne Dorman RN, MSN at sdorman@dowagiacschools.org or 269-782-4440 ext. 1129.

A partir del martes 22 de febrero de 2022, el higienista dental del departamento de salud estará en Sister Lakes ofreciendo un programa para ayudar a detener la caries dental. El Programa de Selladores Dentales de SEAL Michigan vendrá a colocar selladores dentales en molares permanentes de seis y doce años SIN COSTO!!! Si su hijo tiene seguro dental, se le facturará y cualquier cantidad no cubierta por su seguro será cubierta por este programa. Consulte con su seguro dental, ya que muchos planes no cubren el costo de los selladores dentales. Si su hijo no tiene seguro dental, NO habrá costo.

Santa’s Workshop is taking place Tuesday 12/14 and Wednesday 12/15!
The Dowagiac Union School's Technology Department will be selling equipment Monday December 13 that is no longer being used in the District. The following equipment is available for sale: notebook computers starting at $40 each; Netbook computers for $15 each; Chromebooks starting at $15 each (most are $40 each). We will also have a few desktop computers and monitors. The sale will be held at the Technology Office (same building as the Autoshop) Monday December 13 from 3-5 pm. For questions call 269-782-4477.
