Hello Chieftain Families,
We wanted to make you aware there was a brief power outage that occurred today at approximately 1:30 pm. Fortunately, students were able to complete their day. We have been informed this issue has been resolved and power has been restored. We thank everyone for their help and cooperation during this situation.

Hello DMS Chieftains,
This message is for families who are dropping off their child in the morning. To help with this process, we are asking families who are arriving early to please park in our front parking lot until our doors open at 7:20 am.
Also, if you are the front car in our drop off line, we ask that you please pull your vehicle up to the orange cone located on the sidewalk in our front circle. This will help us to move traffic more quickly and efficiently through the school’s driveway, as more families will be able to allow their child to exit their vehicles.
Finally, please say your goodbyes early and have your child ready to exit your car (with all of their things) when you pull up to the front of the building.
We thank you for your continued patience and support. By working together, we will make things run more smoothly.
Dr. Wightman

Mrs. Deering's Sixth grade ELA students submitted their narrative essays last week after much hard work! Each student wrote about a memory from his/her life. Students are now creating comic strips to illustrate their stories. Can't wait to read them!
